Leveraging Library Resources to Create Better Research-Based Assignments for Your Students
- Do you find it difficult to keep up with the constant influx of library resources that support your subject discipline?
- Do
your students have trouble finding and evaluating good quality
scholarly resources? Do they, by any chance, say that we don't have
anything on their topics when you know full well we do? You know they
take the Google/Wikipedia path of least resistance when left to their
own devices. How can you encourage them to look for something better?
- Are
you tired of the same old research paper assignments that seem to
generate ho-hum, paint-by-numbers efforts from your students? Would you
like some ideas for creating assignments that flex (but not flummox)
your students' research muscles while making use of the library
treasures--of all formats--their tuition dollars help fund?
Bring
in an assignment or set of student research objectives that you'd like
to develop, refine or improve and we can work together to make it
better.
